Governance

Strong governance is at the heart of everything we do at the Karratha & Districts Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KDCCI). As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to operating with transparency, accountability and integrity in the delivery of our programs, services and advocacy activities.

Effective governance helps ensure that our decisions, resources and strategic priorities are aligned with our purpose of supporting a strong, resilient and sustainable Pilbara. Through responsible leadership and sound financial management, we work to create positive outcomes for businesses, industry, employees and the broader community.

Board Charter

As outlined in the KDCCI Board Charter, Board Members are responsible for governing the organisation rather than managing its day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include setting strategic direction, approving budgets, appointing and overseeing the CEO, managing risk and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical obligations. Board Members are expected to act with integrity, contribute their expertise, attend meetings, represent KDCCI positively and remain engaged with the needs of the region. The Board is committed to good governance, transparency, accountability and ensuring KDCCI continues to deliver value and positive outcomes for businesses, stakeholders and the wider Pilbara community.
