Governance

Strong governance is the cornerstone of everything we do at the Karratha & Districts Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KDCCI). Effective governance ensures that our actions align with our mission to support the local business community, fostering transparency, accountability, and trust among our members and stakeholders. It allows us to make informed decisions, allocate resources efficiently, and maintain financial integrity, ultimately driving sustainable growth for Karratha's economy. By upholding rigorous governance standards, KDCCI ensures that the interests of local businesses are at the forefront, guiding our initiatives and contributing to a thriving, resilient community.

Strategic Plan

The KDCCI Strategic Plan, shaped by member and stakeholder input over three months, identifies four key pillars: Connecting, Promoting, Advocating, and Supporting local businesses—guiding our mission to build a thriving Pilbara business community.

Board Charter

As outlined in the KDCCI Board Charter, Board Members are responsible for governing the organisation, not managing it. Key duties include setting strategic goals, approving budgets, appointing and overseeing the CEO, and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Members are expected to act with integrity, contribute their expertise, attend meetings, represent KDCCI positively, and stay engaged with the business community. The Board is committed to good governance, transparency, and supporting a strong connection with members.
