Local Capability Fund Regional Business Round 2025-26
What is the Regional Supplier Round?
The round provides up to $20,000 in funding to regionally-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enhance their capacity, capability and competitiveness to supply either export markets, Government, or the private business sector. Each region will have $100,000 initially reserved funding for competitive applicants from that region.
Who can apply?
- At a minimum, your business must: Have an Australian Business Number (ABN);
- Be a for-profit organisation or business (Not-for-profits and charities are ineligible);
- Have its principal place of business reside in one of Western Australia’s nine regions;
- Have been operating in that region for at least 12 months; Employ less than 200 people.

How much funding is available?
Funding of 50% of eligible costs (excluding GST) up to a maximum of $20,000 is available per successful applicant. This program is a reimbursement scheme and successful applicants will need to pay for the activity before making a claim for funding.
What can the funding be used for?
Funding may be used for the following eligible activities, amongst others;
- Consultancy services
- Training
- Upgrading or buying capital equipment
- Improvements to internal business infrastructure/systems
- Upgrades of facilities/premises
